The project involved a full heritage refurbishment of a four-story historical property in central Chichester. It included intricate structural alterations to preserve the property's historical charm while allowing for the addition of a stunning extension.
The work successfully blended modern functionality with the building's heritage, creating a beautifully updated space that respected its historic significance.
the build
We worked closely with heritage officers from Chichester District Council throughout the project to maintain the building's integrity. Due to the lack of rear access to the property, Grey Tree Construction directly coordinated pavement and street closures, parking suspensions, and the necessary licenses.
As a result, hundreds of tons of building materials and waste had to be brought in and out through the main front door. This required careful site management to ensure the schedule stayed on track and disruption to neighbours and the public was kept to a minimum.

Cal, the engaging and reliable project manager, Ian, and the team of trades they assembled were incredibly accommodating.
Both Cal and Ian were not only cheerful but also professional and fair throughout the project. The snagging was minimal, which speaks to their attention to detail and efficiency. What more could you possibly ask for?
